FCA JAX BlueClaws (9U) go 2-1 in Mizuno Championship in St. Augustine

FCA JAX BlueClaws (9U) go 2-1 in the Mizuno Championship Tournament in St Augustine.  The FCA BlueClaws won both pool play games on Saturday against quality opponents (CBC Riverhawks & Central Florida Wildcats) positioning them as the number one seed in Sunday's tournament.  Although they played a great game they lost the elimination game on Sunday by one run.  Great tournament FCA BlueClaws!

NOTE FROM THE COACH FOR THE TEAM:

Congratulations on a great weekend of baseball. I was so encouraged by our improvement as a team and individually. No, we didn’t win the tournament but improved our performance significantly and played well in each game. The great tennis player Arthur Ashe said, “You are never really playing an opponent. You are playing yourself, your own highest standards, and when you reach your limits, that is real joy.” That is what 9U baseball is really about, learning and improving, playing at a higher level each time out and experience the joy and excitement that comes with those achievements. Champions are determined to get better and they keep playing until they get it right. I believe this team is a championship team!
