Head Coach (Blue Team) - Don Presley and Tom Lucas
Don Presley has been involved in baseball in Northeast Florida for the last 40 years. Coach Don graduated from University Christian in 1980 and was a part of 2 State Title teams and 2 Final Four teams in his 4 years of high school. Don played soccer for UNF and played college baseball for Asbury college in 1983-1984. Coach Don is the current head varsity coach for Eagles View Academy, and has been the part of many state title teams while at Eagles View. Coach Don has coached various travel and showcase teams in his coaching career, coaching many college and professional players. Coach Don is married to Mary and both attend Normandy Park Baptist.
Tom Lucas is the current head coach of St Johns Country Day Spartans in Orange Park, FL. He is entering his 4th season as the varsity head coach. Prior to becoming the head coach he served as the pitching coach at St Johns and Wilkinson Middle school. The Spartans team was district runner-ups in 2017 and he was named 3A District coach of the year in his region. Coach Lucas has coached travel baseball for the last 4 years in the area coaching at Oakleaf before moving over to FCA. His teams have been some of the best in the country, and have competed at the USSSA EWS in Orlando the last 2 years. Tom is married to his high school sweetheart, Cynthia, and they have one daughter who attends THE University of Florida. The family worships at Lakeside Church of Christ, where both Tom and Cynthia teach Bible classes.
Coach (Grey Team) - Vernie Alvarez and Tom Marsh
Vernie Alvarez moved to Jacksonville in 1998. Before that he lived in Va. Beach Va where he played 3 years of Varsity baseball at Bayside High School. He moved his Senior year where he attended Clay High School and played Varsity baseball there for 1 year. He went on to play ball at Saint Johns River and Lake City Community College. He has been coaching youth sports for 5 years. He is married with 5 kids ranging in ages of 11 down to 2 yrs old. Coach Vern coaches because he loves being a role model to our youth, and being around the greatest game ever played.
Coach (Carolina Team)- Jordan Rooks and Chris Angelou
